The Coffee Stop is a 2-person operation run by married couple Nicole (Durham) Thieme and Mike Thieme. Years ago, Mike's brother had the idea of a mobile coffee truck, and he gave us his blessing to move forward with the idea in early 2015 while brainstorming entreprenuerial ideas we'd like to pursue. After months of planning and seeking advice from family and friends, The Coffee Stop became a reality!
In May 2015, Nicole hung up her technical journalism hat after 10 years to take on manager and barista duties full time, and Mike is the behind-the-scenes operations guy while maintaining his 9-5 job. We spent all spring and summer of 2015 turning an old yellow school bus into a working, mobile coffee shop, and we had a lot of friends, family and shots of espresso help us get to where we are today! Nicole and Mike have called Fort Collins home since 2003 and 2006, respectively, and are both Colorado State alums who bleed Green and Gold. Together we love to serve the Fort Collins and northern Colorado communities we've been part of for so many years. When we're not driving the bus around town you can find us cheering on the CSU Rams at numerous sporting events, running and biking all over or chasing our kids around! |
